Could someone advise on what would be best to help. I have a large decked garden yearly I jet it all down no problems. This year I am planning on oiling, but I have a problem area. Its fine in the summer but come Autumn and its a ice rink, is there a oil with a character to prevent slipping over?
Chicken Wire Loz. That is why decking which came from warmer climates is a bad idea in our cold soggy little country.
I have the same problem, I was thinking of applying some type of anti slip paint, or might try and add some sand to the preservative and seeing whether it sticks when dry... I have no idea whether this would hold up on the treated wood, but worth a try. AW
Either chicken wire or 2 gallon of petrol during the summer. Pour over offending decking liberally, light match, drop onto said decking. Stand back whilst warming hands,,,,,, Sorted
scrub the deck, ideally jet wash and apply a anti slip coating, best way to fit it is smooth side up as it allows proper drainage the grooves just hold mud water etc which make it like a ice rink. But you do relly still need to clean it weekly
Hi, Wiggy is right, I've applied this product http://www.watco.co.uk/anti-slip/ramps-decking-miscellaneous/watco-grp-decking-strips.html on a huge area at one of my customers last winter and I visited him yesterday. To be honest with this horrendous weather, I was sceptical about the shape of the product but it's as good as new !
I was also having this same problem, People generally face this same problem who try try for decking came from summer areas. than I looked for suggestions from kitelandscapes and it makes my garden very attractive, not even it solved my problem but suggest me many new things about garden that i don't know ever.
