Hello,
I have some padded leather panels (on a wood background) that I need attach to a bedroom wall. How can I do that as I obviously can't put a screw through the wall. They are about 50cm by 30cm and not very heavy.
Can they be glued, and if so what type of glue?
Thanks.
Am looking for some advice on sticking down a vinyl sheet floor. The floor has previously been stuck down and removed due to a leak. The floor has been freshly self levelled and is dry and ready for finishing. The existing vinyl has adhesive already stuck to it. Will this adhere to the new floor...

I have knocked through and recently converted the adjacent garage into living space.
It has a newly laid concrete base with a DPM and a layer of SLC on top.
It is big, about 70m2

Hi folks!
Forum newbie here, be gentle (or not, I can take it).
Got a question about adhesive method and whether to grout or silicone..
I've boxed in around a corner bath, attached Aquapanel on to boxing with silicone and screws so that it is flush with the bath top, with a slight incline...
Hi folks,
I'm converting a detracted single skin garage into a home bar and have some questions around insulated plasterboard.
I plan to dob and dab straight to the wall and then back this up with screws for fire safety. Can anyone recommend specific screws to mechanically fix the board to...
I've recently had a gas fire removed leaving me with a cavity in the chimney breast. I don't intend to use this as a functioning fire, just decorative. I bought an old cast iron fireplace and the fire place slides into the cavity nicely with the square flat bit surrounding it against the wall...

We recently had a friend visit us who stood awkwardly on one of our slate steps leading to our front door. The slate must have been very brittle and large chunk came away.
Not really sure what to do, I popped down to our local hardware store and spoke to our go-to guy there who recommended an...
Hi all,
I've found an incredible product made by a company called v33. It is the only product I've found that removes the industrial strength glue left on my hardwood floors by vinyl. I'm running out, mid-removal, and it looks like they are discontinuing it!
Does anybody either:
- know where I...
Hello,

Hello,
I plan to insulate an internal bedroom wall using insulated plasterboard in preparation for a plastered to skim over it, I plan to use boards with an overall thickness of about 30-35mm.

I have a kitchen and lounge floor to be tiled (with porcelain tiles) but I have old vinyl flooring stuck down (and it's utterly and truly stuck down) on my kitchen floor.
Can I tile over it without any problems later on or do I have no choice but to remove the vinyl flooring first please?
I am...
Hi all, I've lurked on this forum and got lots of tips but never posted before.
My Dad and I are redoing by bathroom and learning as we go along. All the plumbing is now done so we had the whole room replastered (green board).
I mist coated the whole room and now I'm worried that was a...
Hi,
I'm converting my upstairs bathroom into a wetroom.
I'm intending to remove the floorboards and fit an IMPEY tray with an adjustable waste.
Unfortunately, because the shower tray will be diagonally opposite the stack I'm going to run the waste parallel to the joists and then drop through the...
Sorry if this is the wrong place, couldn't see anywhere that seemed to fit better.
I'm removing wallpaper in a bedroom, this paper is probably 40-50 something years old. It mostly comes off pretty easily and have removed most of it in the room so far. There are bits remaining still in patches...
Hi Folks
Just tried to prepare a floor around a swimming pool and its gone wrong.
The floor was originally level screeded with a weak cement mix, its soft and a little powdery but is quite stable, I originally tried to stabilize the floor with a well diluted pva and then applied an adhesive...
I know this is a kitchen section but wondered if you could help with a bathroom question as I think this will be the best place.
I’m replacing the bathroom floor with 25mm ply in preparation for the new bathroom being fitted. I can’t get 25mm marine grade at a reasonable price so I’ll be using...
Grateful for any advice. I'm tiling a wall behind a wood burning stove with brick slips.
What adhesive and mortar should I use?
The wall is 2.3m tall x 3.1m wide.
The guy that's selling me the brick slips has given me a quote for the other materials that comes to £182.50
Adhesive £7.50 per...
I need to attach natural Manila rope (larger diameter, to be laid on floor) and synthetic rope (small diameter, to be placed on MDF panels and wood). This is for decorative purposes only. What is the best adhesive to use?
