    Filling door frame gap

I am looking for some advice on how to fix the surround around the door frame. There is a large gap that is filled with foam. Can I attach new plasterboard to this? And if so, how? Can I plaster straight onto it? It was originally covered by a stud wall beam, which made up a little entry way

Gap in wall to outside behind skirting

Hi all, Looking for some advice on what to do here. We took the skirting off to be greeted with the eternal air brick and 2 electricity cables in front of it. Is there anything we can do to block off the inside from the outside and protect the cables before putting skirting back on? Cheers!

Best way to seal these gaps?

Evening all, I’m wondering what the best way would be to seal the two gaps at either end of the shower tray, between the upstand, the screen and the tiled wall. There isn’t much space so silicone is near on impossible but I’m conscious it needs doing in some way to stop water ingress. Maybe...

Plywood expansion gap - fill or not?

I’m installing 18mm plywood sheets to a summerhouse floor frame. It will be glued down to reduce squeaking and then screwed into place. I have read that I need to leave a 2mm gap around each board to allow for expansion. To stop the gap causing draughts is it acceptable to fill the gap with...

Floating herringbone engineered wood floor ,,(click system), gaps have appeared all over the place at the right angle joints... see photos - the floor fitter says it might be a problem with UFH being turned on too hot/late the first time. Gap between range cooker and the wall

Just had a replacement cooker 900mm wide. Slight problem is that due to location of pipe to bottom rear, wheels on back of cooker and a slight gap from tile to wall has resulted in a 2cm gap between the rear of stove top to where the wall is. Fixing gaps in a Concrete Door Step.

I was wondering what forum readers would suggest to fill in horizontal gaps between a concrete front door step and the door. They are not huge gaps. I think its just caused by shrinkage as the house is about 60 years old. I was thinking something along the lines of a mastic sealant as I want to...

Gap appearing at join of interlocking LVT

Had our kitchen fitted a couple of years ago, broadly speaking a good job bar a couple of glitches. We went for an LVT - it's a contract tile with interlocking edges, I think the idea was we wouldn't need the expense of ply-covering the floor as these tightly interlocking tiles didn't rely on...

Hi there I just lined a room horizontally as I will be wallpapering over it. I didn't leave too much of a gap but little gaps are present between the papers. I know those gaps should be filled if you paint the lining paper, but does the same have to be done if I wallpaper over it, or can I...
