I have led strips with transformer plugs which I need to connect to the lighting circuit so the light switch can control them. Is it ok if I add a 13A sockets above each cabinet to plug transformer plugs into?

Can anyone help me identify this strainer/plug to replace? It's a Belfast style sink. Moved into this house with no strainer or plug present. I have tried a few replacements but, nothing fits properly.
