slabs

Hi all the concrete or filling between the slabs have deteriorated over time and have broken off. Can anyone recommend the most efficient (if any) filler for this job? Any tried and tested products? Best way to tackle the job?

When I lay natural stone slabs, if I cut the slabs, I use a chisel to chip the cut edge to make it rougher rather than clean and straight. Whilst this does work, I feel there must be a better way of doing this. Does anyone have any suggestions for a better way to achieve a rougher edge?
