Good afternoon folks
I have a WB greenstar 25i it is about 8 years old, recently I have had a problem with the hot tap water, I have noticed that the diverter valve motor does is not responding to the tap upon demand, the paddle is not seized , if I press the reset button it does respond...
Hello, I have just moved in to a new flat this week and have a problem with noise coming from somewhere around the top of the boiler.
It's a loud clicking/knocking sound that lasts about a minute, stops for 20-30 seconds and starts again. It seems to happen at night, starting in the evening...
Hi,
Today we had our bathroom radiator bled.
We soon realised after the heating was not coming on and when checking the boiler noticed the pressure was at 0.
After research I have realised we have a keyless boiler, and the blue lever needs to be pulled down to repressurise the system to...
I've just had a WB greenstar 4000 installed, but cannot work out how you turn the heating off. It seems you can only turn it down to the lowest.. 30 degrees.. But there always seems to be a gentle humbing noise from the thing. My previous boiler an ideal logic c30 would just be silent when...
Hi
I have Worcester Bosch Greenstar 42 CDi Combi Bolier - no separate water system. BG installed Hive yesterday and last night I realised the boiler was running all night , although no Hot Water or Heating was being called for. The thermostat was set to Frost and the room temperature was not...
My mother has a Worcester Bosch Greenstar 18ri which has been in situ for about 13 years. Today it had its annual service and the engineer has reported the following:
Unable to open old red magnaclean filter
Found heat exchanger rippled.
Cold patches in all radiators.
System fouled.
Recommend...
I noted this morning that the house felt a little cool. I checked and thermostats were still demanding heat, in three downstairs rooms, and I could also detect the underfloor heating pump running (manifold installed inside a stud wall - dont ask I didnt build the house). So I then checked the...
Just curious as I'm getting different answers on this, how secure should a vertical flue be? Mine goes out of the attic, at every join I can remove it. The extension out of the roof just lifts off with ease. There's two brackets on there loosely but every piece of flue can just be pulled off...
Hi All
I'm thinking of getting a new WB 30i System boiler with the optional diverter kit as opposed to zone valves. The diverter kit only has 15mm connections to it whereas most people seem to suggest running 22mm pipe to the HW cylinder. I phoned up WB and they just said to run 15mm but guy on...
Any advice appreciated
I have a Worcester Bosch Greenstar 40CDI Conventional that is flashing the symbol that looks like two corners of a square when it is called for either water or central heating. I believe the symbol relates to the boiler heating up too quickly? It does this for a couple of...
Hi all
I have a WB Greenstar 24Ri running a pressurised CH & HW (tank) system, with a hive thermostat.
Boiler is maybe 5/6 years old and previously has run without issue. A couple of months ago during the summer I noticed the water that is scheduled to come on twice a day was not as hot as it...
Hi I'm sure this is a really stupid question, but I cannot find anything online.
I have just moved into a house with a Worcester Bosch Greenstar 25i ErP condensing combi boiler, and connected to it is a small box with two LEDs and a rubber toggle button. When I press the button the green LED...
Hi! I'm renovating an old house. 4-beds, potentially 8 people staying there and all wanting a shower etc in the morning. Teenagers involved so lots of hot water required!
My contractor has recommended the following:
the 30kw model of this...
I have a relatively new Worcester boiler servicing underfloor heating and h/w (and an old one next to it servicing the radiators)
The newer boiler heats up to 65c but then stops firing until the return temperature drops to 40c. Is this a setting or a faulty thermocouple / internal stat. ...
Hey guys.
As the title indicates the syphon gets overfilled. I have followed the manual and did the following:
I released the clips of the drainage cap and removed it. Quite a lot of debris came out with a half a bowl of water. I thought this would solve the problem which it did but only for 2...
This subject has been discussed extensively before. In short, my brand new WB Combi, feeding an old Victorian pipework system is losing pressure on the CH side. It seems to hold pressure when the pump is not pumping, but goes down when it is. Over time it that means it goes from 1.5 to zero...
Woke up this morning to the boiler not working, it is only 18 months old.
Pressure is zero.
Defrosted the condensation outlet and the external pipe.
Water is running fine throughout the house.
There is no key option to refill the pressure so have to use the external flex pipe option...
Good morning
I have recently moved into a new property that was built in 2010. It has a Worcester Camry 25/32 Utility oil fired boiler fitted with external water storage.
The configuration is S-plan (however the wiring is imaginative to say the least).
The boiler is not wired for pump overrun...
Merry Christmas to all... I am hoping that someone will be able to help with some advise on an on-going boiler issue.
I have a Worcester i28 Junior, installed circa 12 years ago from what I can gather and before I bought the house. For about 3 months ago the unit kept going into reset, turning...
