13 Amp Plug.

Hi. I've just got a new electric oven (plug in rather than hard wire) the hob (gas) has an ignition to light it. We bought a plug that you can wire 4 separate appliances to, and it was used without a problem for the last oven and hob ignition. I've just wired in the new oven and neither the oven or the ignition work.....any ideas?

N, it's a single plug that can accommodate 4 appliences.

What size fuse is in the plug, it needs to be 13A or it will blow.

It looks broken as the live pin has been pushed in unless a missing fuse has caused this. I wouldn't be using that an accident waiting to happen.

Dread to think how those cables are connected the black one looks like 2.5.

The 2 pins at the bottom of the triangle, should be the same length.
The fuse is connected to the short pin, and there is probably meant to be something in the cover to prevent it from sinking like that.
Is the cover on the right way round?

You know? I haven't even noticed that....there was a lose piece that had fallen out in the plug and I couldn't find a place to put it, I'm guessing it holds the prong in place....
