14.4 volt in a 12 volt makita ? stupid question ?

    Can the 14.4 volt batteries be used in a 12 volt makita drill ?

    Very unlikely, you should post this in the sparkys forum for an answer though. They might rip you apart for a page before they answer.

    The 14.4 volt battery is physically bigger than the 12 volt one & even if you could bodge it by holding it in with sticky tape, it would probably burn the motor out before too long....sorry, you will have to buy another battery.
