    Hi,

I'm a craftsman looking to buy a pneumatic air nailer (I already have a suitable compressor).
From the research I've done a 16G nailer is the most fitting for my use, I build things like dog beds, blanket boxes etc. from reclaimed materials (pallet wood).

So for those who are experienced in using them, is the 16G the one I should go for?
My other issue is that the UK doesn't seem to have a wide range of them available too...I watch reviews on YouTube and the US seem to have them coming out of their ears, but in the UK you search for one and you have to filter through everything but to find one.

    Thanks!

Thanks mate, I saw this one online but wasn't sure if I was paying too much for one brand than another that does the same job if you know what I mean? Judging by the reviews the bostich one gets however my mind is made up! Appreciate that mate!

Always find D&M really expensive. They send me lots of offers and then when I check their reduced price is still dearer than competitors and the charge extra for delivery whilst a lot include it.

The problem you will have with pallet wood is that it is quite prone to splitting near the edges and is generally poor quality. You'd be much better off getting reclaimed timber and running it through a tables saw to get the similar thickness and will be a lot smoother.

Free postage from D&M and does not look expensive to me.

    £246 https://mytoolkit.co.uk/products/stanley-bostitch-16-gauge-finish-nailer-25-64mm-fn1664-e-2nd-fix
    £240 from an Amazon seller
    €195+VAT https://www.caulfieldindustrial.com/p/bostitch-fn1664-e-16-gauge-finish-nailer/p-e13460
    £205 https://www.mytoolshed.co.uk/bostitch-fn1664-e-16g-pneumatic-magnesium-finish-nailer.html

However, just €100 from https://skill-tools.com/index.php?id_product=59&controller=product which looks TOO cheap

It always pays to shop around. However, when I have checked prices, D&M never come out as the cheapest. Even if they are the same price, there are often other promotions Top Cash Back / Quidco, eBay discount codes + Nectar points. D&M do have a loyalty scheme but it is quite low.

I buy a lot from FFX and they quite often send me money off vouchers and they "range" a wide list of items over a lot of other suppliers. They stock Bostich but not the item you had above but have a Palode 16g nailer for £113

Thanks for the feedback guys, I like the idea of the Bostich nailer definitely. I'll have a look around but I usually head through topcashback anyway.
Looking forward to getting set away with it, should speed things up a bit!

    Thanks again!
