I agree with half of what you say - about the yoof part. Which is why I personally don't agree with lower the voting age even tho' it would better support my own political leanings.

With age comes wisdom? It should, but clearly not always. For too many it is also heavy tinged with cynicism about anything but what is in their own minds ('bigotry' in other words) borne by bitterness at what they perceive as unfairness against them and the success of others, and probably just a realisation of "is that it?" about their lives.

No wonder so many wish to try and wreck it for others.

That's the kind of mindset that drives most, Corby (momentum) supporters. Not your average leave advocate.

I do hope you were looking in the mirror when you came up with this gem DA. Intolerance of those with a different view, is the meaning of bigotry. You constantly exhibit your intolerance of many of us posting here. Pot, Kettle, Black are words that come to mind.

I am intolerant of pernicious bigots, JJ - you are 100% right on that.
 
Being from Scotland I see no issue on sixteen year old's voting given the power of the internet most of them are better informed than those of us with so called wisdom.

I think you should be able to vote at sixteen. You are seen as mature enough to own a house buy yourself, get married and even have a child they are pretty big decisions but yet you can't give your opinion on how the country should be run?

Seems crazy to me.
