28mm 1st fix, waste of time?

I'm trying to get some costings for the 1st fix plumbing of my new extension, which will contains 2 new ensuites - 1 very big with with a very large bath for me and the mrs ;)

I recently stayed in a nice hotel where the bath was filled in about 1 minute flat! I'm guess this is due to the pressure of the water availabl in the hotel (due to the tank being on the top floor I guess??), but is there any benefit in using 28mm pipe from the tank to the bath taps?

I've never seen any taps that take a 28mm fitting so I'm guessing its pointless to use 28mm pipework (I do know the cylinder can take a 28mm fixing though)

anyone seen this, or is the only option a mains pressure hot tank to get the high pressure?

Did you ever consider, that hot and cold water could be stored, at any level then pumped ?.

I have seen this on what can only be described as a stately home.
The mains water was not that great, but had to feed 12 on suites.
They stored hot water, and cold water, and then pumped it. I was impressed, and the spare parts cost a fortune.
Then they had the extra cost of yearly tank cleaning, and chlorination. A nice system though.
    Oh and well installed.

Sorry should have posted a link.
It was Mathern palace in cheptow I believe.
A totally fantasic house, with imaculate grounds.
It is a listed building, once owned by the Corus group, and now owned by Tata.
Tata/corus have literally spent millions of pounds on it.
Check it out, I feel privilaged to have worked on the plumbibg there.

I would run a bulldozed through the slum. Best convert it to tenements!!! Put asylum seekers in it.

Having baths that fill in a few minutes means they over flow in seconds. The overflow must cope wuth the water input from the taps.

Unfortunately, Waster Sytems, You seem to have been raised in a some what depraived area.
You talk the talk very well, I give you that.
I believe that hands on, you would struggle somewhat.
If we were installing a new build hotel, I think that your silly hot water cylinder would be found wanting somewhat.
You may have some valid points, But please put the pen down and allow quality engineers, that have some ideas of what they are doing, to install their work.
Oh you endorse cheap equiptment, (previous posts).
You are playing at the game, Have a very small minded experience, with no background.
You are found wanting, and lack any insight into major installs.

you'll probably need an unvented system with mains pressure to fill your bath that quick, megaflow or the like
