    Evening everyone

I recently changed a consumer unit in a property and I moved some internal wiring as I was happy with the order of circuits on the split load board

I’m paranoid that I put a 2.5mm ring main in a 40amp breaker can someone put my mind at rest and let me know that the wiring will be okay for a day until I can get over and change the breaker the next day

Yes relax it will be fine for a day 2.5 is rated at 26 amp radial so 2 x 26 is 52 on a ring so well under the limit till you change it over..

doubt they will max it out over night you have to have several electric heaters on, which I doubt in this weather

Ring mains are left on 40 amps for years sometimes i don't think a night will matter.
