!8 month luxury apartment...no rcd..

cliffy - i dont feel silly at all, i am well aware of projects started under the old 16th need not comply with current regs, however if construction was started after the 17th came into force its my belief they have to comply with it.
I stand to be corrected

Well this apartment is on the ground floor, and the work is in the garage. The customer has basically fitted a kitchen at one end and called it a utility, alright for some...5 K utility !!!!

So as it is a garage i would have expected rcd protection for outdoor equipment etc...anyway before i add the extra socket ive told him he needs at a minimum an rcbo, but talking to him this morning i think i got myself a box change!!! Yippee ;)

so a ground floor to a house likely to supply portable eqp didnt need rcd protection on 16th

BTW the spark who did the work lives opposite, so i might be brave and ask him..

what?... to do the job?... wise move steve, you know it makes sense to get a spark in
