While you are at it, throw in a solution to the Irish border quandary.

I'm sure that'll be an easy one, what with the indigenous sectarian folk being so calm and peaceful and not throwing bombs any more.
 
So Treeza is going to spend her hols going round the UK explaining her latest white paper (already rubbished by the EU negotiators), so that we can all agree that what we want is precisely what we cannot have - brilliant strategy, once again:(. And how many years has it taken them to even get to this position?? Never mind, Lord Snooty and his 'Bash Street Gang' will save us all by taking us back to his beloved Victorian times.

I'm stockpiling tins of food already!!

Dont her and her husband just go to the Italian Lakes every holiday. Wandering around looking uncomfortable.

As for Rees-Mogg. He will probably spend his holidays pretending to be badger baiting or cheese-rolling or something (for the public image). Behind the fraudulent persona he will probably actually be drinking fishbowls and doing shots in Ayia Napa.
 
Excuse me for butting in, DA, Car Conundrum, Second Referendum, all are very current threads on this forum, don’t think I have hardly commented on these threads, don’t want to alot much time to this sort of stuff which is all pretty much the same no matter which thread you are looking at,

You must be all scouring the political headlines some obscure some not so obscure every other hour, I will say if your all enjoying it then that’s fine, so I am not saying what a waste of time it’s everyone to their own, but you do realise that at the end of page 153 on any of the threads you might as well start again cos we will be no further on, but I say again that is fine if you all are enjoying the cut & thrust of the debate on the way to page 253, and I would agree there are some funnies along the way, even if it’s just the way each side kiss & cuddle one another.

Seeing as I’m this far can I ask a question that may have already been asked, if the government were to go against democracy and hold a second vote which way do you think it would go ? also following on from this another question, if it were to be leave again, would the usual suspects on here that are remainers finally button it and accept the will of the people with good grace ?

I could ask the same of the Brexiteers but it is my opinion that the decision of another vote would be accepted with good grace and they would not for the next year carp on about the unfairness of it, as the reamainers have been doing for the past year, but Brexiteers by all means comment on this if you like.
 
If there was to be a second referendum, I would accept the result. Might not be happy about it, but would accept it as the will of the British people. ( unlike some on here who have done nothing but complain, rail and moan since the result of the last one.)

Sorry, Facilities, but I didn't get to the bottom of your post.

But, to answer what I think is your point, I 'scour' the 'net for very little, certainly to do with politics. Most of what I post are very topical, ie 'headlines' (in a balanced press) or to be found popping unexpectedly in to my inbox from - gasp - a motoring organisation; that was the source for this particular thread.

You can ignore this, or do a u-s and snipe in their self-defeating way, or try and come up with a solution for the car conundrum. (Other than MFN, or 'it won't happen' or stuff).



There is soooo much more I could post... :rolleyes:

I saw your reply in post #111 and you did mention security DA. Now tell me,honestly, do French and German citizens feel more secure these days ?

There is no moral justification for your vote, JJ. The mess we are in today is partly of your doing - as Remainers pointed out it would be.

You made you choice. Enjoy the mess. Don't learn from either history or the current appalling state of our country in comparison to the rest of the EU and the world.

Don't learn. Don't swallow your pride. Do not express any humility or contrition.

Vote in exactly the same way next time, as we know all of the u-s on here will.

The country deserves your bile.

I am now routing for one of two outcomes; a second ref that'll likely - but only just - be won by Remain, but that will then create even more turmoil in the country because - let's be honest - the Remainers remained peaceful after the first ref, but many Leavers certainly didn't and definitely won't if they lose the next time. So I fear not even a 'successful' second ref will do much for the sake of our divided country.

The other outcome that'll at least serve an historic purpose is a complete 'crash-out'; no repayments, no nothing - a literal tearing up of the treaties and agreements.

Perhaps only following the carnage will the rest of the world sober up and realise the right-wing dystopia they are hurtling towards.

And, quite deservedly, it'll hurt those who voted Leave more than the rest of us. It'll be hell, but it might simply be what's needed. We humans are so pathetic that we seem to need a reality check every century or so.

Dunno what you use as a source of news DA, but in the past 2 yrs, there have been many protests by the Remoan camp, and very few can have the tag "peaceful" attached to them. Bile and vitriol perhaps could be used as attachments to their protests. And you so obviously missed Bob "scruffy *" Geldof's two fingered salute to our fishermen and the look of hatred on his smug face. (mind you, the Guardian often ignores these sort of things with it's left wing agenda)
