    Hi all you plumbers.

Can anyone tell me what is the best alternative for radiators? I have no central heating in my house and no mains gas supply so am considering electro rads. Does anyone no anything about them as Im clueless.

You can get electric boilers, not sure en efficiency cost etc. May be worth looking into further.

Have a look at wood pellet stoves. www.extraflame.com The Goverment could give £600.00 clearskies grant toward one.

Have a look at oil central heating, much cheaper than electricity. As long as you have some where for a tank to hold about 1000l of oil it's a good alternative. Costs about 35ppl for the heatng oil. Comparitave costs against gas, as all new boilers are condensing.

  5. Electro rads are ok but expensive to run.
Electric boilers are on the increase.
But electric boilers cost lots to run.
Also u cant use an electric shower at the same time without an upgrade to 3 phase.
