Acceptable gas pressure drop between meter and boiler?

WB very soon are only going to be looking for an inlet pressure of 17mbar. Was speaking to one of their training engineers.

Which is what Vaillant already do.
I believe the internal pressure drop on these things is more like 3 mbar than 11/2 cos of the way the fan sucks the gas out of the pipe.
I'd like to know if anybody did actually put a test nipple in just before the boiler before increasing the pipesize to 35mm.

Good point. As far as I've ever known, the acceptable 1mb drop is between the meter test nipple and the start of the appliance. As I said it al seems harsh on the installer. The fact that it is impossible to achieve 1mb to the test nipple used proves my point.
