I'm currently working as a trainee heating engineer and am looking for ACS course notes but I can't afford the hundreds of pounds for the course.. anyone know of any alternative. I'm getting the practical experience under supervision but not the theory.. any advice welcomed.
HK it seems there are not too many offers of help on this one. I can only suggest that you contact the many colleges and training establishments that are licensed to run courses in the UK under the CITB Gas certification scheme. You may be able to purchase a set of notes in preparation for attending a course some time in the future. The CITB head office is in Kings Lynn, Norfolk Tel: 01485 577 577. They should at least be able to tell you where your nearest training establishments are.
Many thanks for that, just got some details from Lewisham college where I can do the Corgi exams for almost free if I'm registered unemployed otherwise its over £500 !!
