If I break in to your house and that sound bomb makes my ears hurt, I'll sue you.

That's if you get out in one piece :)

Ah, but your ears will be hurting too. Unless you have earplugs on standby?

I use them, normally on Texecom Premier Elite panels.

There are several options, 2 piezo with strobe, 4 piezo or go to the Master Blaster. Do you have a sound level in mind and do you need the strobe?

I can point you at the right ones iof you say what you need.

I just need one for internal use, as when alarm goes off we cant really tell if its the neighbors or ours.

I have a call dialler fitted which has its own internal sound, but want something in the hall way which will ensure we realise when our alarm goes off.

    Thanks

So, do you need an extremely loud sound bomb, or just a speaker?

Depends on the price difference really....something that will do the job to indicate the house alarm is going off

The panel has an internal speaker, but also a pair of speaker outputs which you will use to drive a speaker.

However, in your case, just go for the SOSB1L which is a dual piezo and is LOUD. Wired between 12v and sounder output.

Do you have the Veritas installation manual?

What ever you do, you need to put the alarm in Engineer mode before you start, be aware of the 230v input- and ideally power it off completely.

Wiring is easy, just do a search online forr the maunal and it is all covered in that.

That is the one ... I have it on my phone.

Page 7 shows the board and teh connections, Page 12 tell you how to wire it. Page 15 covers how to access the panel.

Everything you need to know is there.

    That sounds about right.

You can test it out, with ear plugs, by putting the soundbomb across a battery.

Also what if i want to put the sound bomb further away from the panel - more than the 15cm wire provided

Will i have to open the new sound bomb up and put a new cable or join it with a connector block

    thanks
