    Hello,

I had a telescope vent fitted and the airbrick was temporarily fitted with airbrick. The builder has moved onto another job, but I was just wondering if I can fill the gaps around the airbrick with something like Mortar filler (https://www.screwfix.com/p/no-nonsense-mortar-repair-dark-grey-310ml/806jp), or would I need to take the airbrick out and have it properly fitted with mixed mortar (https://www.screwfix.com/p/bostik-general-purpose-mortar-grey-5kg/36857#_=p)? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Use any of your suggestions will work.
But you are using only one air brick to vent what area?
Try for equal beds and perps around the brick.

Your post should be up in the Building Forum - ask the mods.

Looks a right bodge with the expanding foam and not put in correctly. Take it out and scrape away the foam and loose mortar, then bed it in properly with sand and cement keeping the bottom of it level with the bottom of the bricks either side.

    Thank you.
The air brick has a telescopic vent on the other side leading to under suspended floorboards, so it's not in line with the joists and insulation
