I only noticed this when I was updating my watch list to tick the email boxes for some recent ones, and got the tell-tale request to log in when I clicked update - a sure sign that there's an archived topic selected. It was the "could this have happened over here" one. Any ideas why that had to go? Could the admin that got rid of it explain why?

Just curious. And vehemently opposed to an environment where admins/mods do what they like without being held to account for it.
As usual a sensible answer from BAS..agree 100% BAS..the admins should account for there actions with ref to pulling posts and links etc..this could be construed as an affront to public free speech etc.. However with ref to stuff being pulled/edited because of swearing (guilty) and inappropriate material such as links and other stuff of an obnoxious nature..then this must be dealt with pronto and as such would not expect an admin to account himself/herself for the withdrawing of said.
