    Hi,

Hob 7.5kw 16 and double oven 4.6kw (52ish amps)both supplied from 6mm from cu (8 metre cliprd direct) to cooker 45amp cooker switch without socket and then this feeds ccu and from here two supplies one to each.

With diversity this works out at around 23amps combined or 29amps seperately and this is on a 30amp mcb.

Normally i would supply both appliances seperately (although this is a recent change as years gone by would have had no problem with this).

Question is would you be happy to wire the hob and oven in to the existing supply?

Owt up to 15kW is OK on a reasonable short 6mm 32A MCB

Check out Coooooookers in the OSG! ;)

I'd do it for a distance up to about 10m, more than that i'd think again.

    Thanks Sen,

Care to elaborate on why 10m and perhaps your maths behind your decision?

I would be Longlee if length is under 12-15M with no insulation.

Having said that when I wired our Gaff I ran a 12 metre 10mm supply to run This even though max loading is 14.6kW, but if 6mm was already in then it would've ben fine.
