Hi Need to repaint bathroom ceiling that is prone to developing areas of mould. Is an anti mould paint what I need or anti condensation. I did a forum search but don't really want to spend £70+ on the recommended Dulux paint as it's only a very small ceiling and the rest will go to waste. So is there any recomendation for something available in smaller size. Also, anyone tried the anti mould additives? Cheers
Take a look at Zinnser Perma White Sorry, not providing links, that’s Kiabs job Anyway, SF sell it, 1lt smallest size, fifteen and half quid As with all Zinnser products, ur buying quality Clean ceiling first, household bleach and hot water and scrub scrub scrub Wash off with clean water Allow to dry Lash on the Perma White Enjoy Should also look at cause of problem, improve ventilatation, insulate ceiling, depends what’s causing the issue
Done the bleach wash and a couple of coats Bullseye 123 on the affected areas as I had some. I'll go and get the Perma White but want 1L of matt. Hate satin ceilings and walls! Doesn't look as though SF do this but TS do (and cheaper, ssshhh!) Thanks both
y o u n e e d s a n t e x s m o o t h m a s o n r y p a i n t . It is stunning on ceilings . And I've had no mould appear on my bathroom ceiling - which is more than I can say about the wall above the shower...
Perma white on now and looking good. If it really stays mould free for 7 yrs I'll be more than impressed! Cheers
