I've built a largish timber-framed building, which is lined with fireproof boards (Enviroboards). Behind them is 100mm insulation, then breather membrane, then timber cladding on the outside.
The lining isn't skimmed - I just filled the joints and screwholes and painted.
Everything was fine until the building had been heated for a few days. Now I find that cracks of 1-2mm have opened up at all the joints between the Enviroboards. I know the timber frame might move a bit as it settles in, but to me it looks as if the Enviroboards have just shrunk as they've dried out. (Before fitting, the boards were stored dry, but outdoors, so they'd have picked up some moisture.)
The Enviroboards blurb says they shouldn't do this - has anyone had similar problems?
