Hi looking for some advice please I have a load of old euro cylinder locks from where Iv changed locks over time and just chucked old ones in a bag I have a fair amount are they worth taking to the scrap yard does anyone know ? Or are they worthy of the skip haha Thanks
Absolutely. As far as I know they are pretty much solid brass. I put them in with my brass pile and the scrap yard accepts them
Yes, anything that is solid brass, or 90% brass, it should get about £2.50 per kilo or slightly above that. Easy to have a lot of weight in brass.
Ignore him. Just one of the regular Trolls that get banned eventually and reappear under a different name
Brass is my absolute favourite scrap metal! So much of it knocking about. And it mounts up much quicker weight wise than copper Locks, handles, taps, basin wastes, trims, valves, fittings, lights the list goes on.
