So I’ve been up in the loft for a poke around and was curious about this coating on the party wall with next door. My worry is chunks have been broken off during the works and are sat on the loft insulation but I’ve also pulled a few bits off to try and see if I can find the source of the leak.

Anyone come across this before? Is it likely to be original? (The pink stuff I mean, I know the grey is some sort of paint).

Don't know what that is; what indicates it contains asbestos?

Just something another roofer has said with it being a party wall and for fire reasons. Can see fibres in it where it’s cracked and splitting but they won’t photograph properly. A4B9EAB7-4AA3-4463-85D5-CC320A2C88F7.jpeg 46BBEF4F-623D-4EE7-8D29-1A993A49C8E7.jpeg

  4. You could send a small sample off for testing if u wanted costs about £40-50. I done it when I had some boards I wanted checking. Used a company called Bradley Enviromental, and had results back the next day.
