Hiya looking to source around 120 sqM oak T & G all round 150mm and 200mm wide mix, Mrs wants a pale limed oak finish which I can sort with a drop of liming paste, what can you chaps recommend for finishing floor - oil or wax wise? Ta synth
carls oils by bona (bonakemi) are very good. google it to see the full ranges. Also osmo and top brand would be junkers. Triptrap is being pushed by wholesalers at the min but dont know how good it is.
honest synth, wouldn't know where to start off the top of my head. Almost everything i do now in oak is 90-150mm prefinished. I have a supplier in ireland who does this sort of thing, i will ring him tomorrow and see what he has.
I get my unfinished oak off Henry Venables might be worth a look http://www.henryvenables.com/index.php
Thanks for that Gonzozfrenchcar! Venables they are about 5 mile from me duh! will take a look at their stock, I need a fair bit of oak to make door frames and window cills too Cheers Synth
Usually use T&G two edges only and upto 300 wide but bought some of this a couple of weeks ago to match whats already been used in a barn conversion. Looks quite nice timber, got it aclimatising, due to fit next week. Cost £35m2 +VAT JAson
