I notice that there are less topics & replies in the engineers forum than the others. Could this be due to the fact that the engineers are working longer & harder than other trades? Oh heck. This should get CF going again.
The answer is that there are less retired engineers than the other trades, who can afford to spend their dotage contributing gems of diy wisdom to those in need. Some of the other trades just have to be pensioned off early because their work rate falls away whereas engineers are useful right until their dying day!
and there are tenfold other trades than there are real engineers! for instance a plasterer is a wall finish engineer! plumber: tubular application engineer electrician: god.........(power engineer) builder: brick built box engineer and the best of all: scaffolder: engineer of multi sized matinance erections
better not let the wives hear about the 'mutlti sized maintenance erections' or they may look elsewhere for their 'maintenance'
