Hi, I was feeling brave and decided to dryline the walls of my new utility room myself. Everything is coming along nicely except that one of the back boxes is pretruding about 5mm from the wall. Just wondering what's the best solution to this. I've come across https://www.screwfix.com/p/schneide...oKMtjy54w_LQcwHTczxoCxiIQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds Would this solve my problem? Any other suggestions? TIA Hash
No, it will not. They are designed to sit on top of a back box. What type do you currently have installed? and can you repalace with a shallower one?
It's a 25mm metal box. Would 16mm be enough for a switch? There are quite a few cables running into it.
16mm hopeless for modern switches even with just one cable. If you have a lot of cables, get a 35mm box. You’ll regret going smaller.
