Got a new bathroom , fitter has left me with a sink that doesn’t drain. I’ve taken out drawers to have a look ,, can anyone spot why please ?

unscrew top of bottle trap and try to lift trap as it looks like it running uphill put dish under trap first as water may run out

What sort of a cowboy did you hire to do that for you? Didn't he/she even bother testing it before leaving?
As ginger tuffs said, it's trying to empty itself uphill!
Perhaps it was working and the outflow was downhill originally, but the compression coupling on the bottle trap wasn't tight enough and the whole bottle has dropped a bit, thus making the outlet pipe run uphill.
Push it up and tighten the compression ring. Hopefully it'll hold.

That small amount of uphill will not stop it draining - the basin is well above that level.

Blocked / restricted trap ,or waste pipework.

anyone's guess JP. The usual culprit is a combination of gunge, around hair !!

The vertical telescopic part could be pushed right down and causing issues.
Or the grey flexi part could also be pushed in to the fitting a bit far.
Sometimes with these obscure traps The pipe can push far into the fitting.

You say “new” if recent? Ask the fitter back to resolve the issue

The waste pipework isnt likely to be new. Those set ups that come with cabinets with drawers beneath are pants ,and the little bottle traps can block easily , have seen toothpaste tops ,cotton buds ,kids toys partly blocking the centre tube.
Not yet seen grout ,but that's possible !!

I’ve just moved thing up as suggested in 1st n 2nd reply but it’s made no difference.
The waste piles are not new

That waste pipe outside doesn’t look like it’s got any fall.

Can you take a wider pic of external Pipework ,including where it terminates. It all looks to be running uphill ?

    Hi
So I got back to basin issue this morning, undone thing that attaches to pipe that goes outside , shined light and it was block with blue roll ,removed with screw drive, basin now drains ( properly) .
Really hard to believe that’s how fitter left it n didn’t even try to resolve issue , blamed it on European waste kit .
But I’m so happy I can use my basin
