Currently have a 150 mm low voltage fan with a humidistat
It seems to have stopped working if I turn on the power it starts up but closes down soon after
    Even when it's humid
Anything I can check to get it working

I have been advised to replace it with an inline fan

Ideally I'd like it to come on only when humid
And have facility to turn it off
    What's the best control options

Fan extracts through a roof vent

I have not had much luck with a humidistat, the problem is until fan runs there is very little air circulation so damp air does not reach the sensor until very wet, so once it starts it drenched the sensor then it will not switch off.

I will assume when you say low voltage you mean extra low voltage I.e. under 50 volt. It seems likely problem is with the power supply.

But only way is to test, so what have you got to test with?
