Not sure where to post this, but hoping I can get thoughts on something regarding an issue I have.

we have a tiny bathroom (2.3x1.55m) which I’m looking to renovate. There’s a huge window on the length of the room (about 1.4m wide) on one side and the door on the opposite wall.

I’m looking at an L-Shaped bath, but the widest side over laps the window by about 75mm.

One solution is a custom screen that covers that section of the window.

I had someone over who suggested fixing thick timber of suitable width, then marmox the entire width to include the timber and then tile. The window is big enough that 75mm is not going to affect light in and there’ll be a space from the timber to the window of about 125mm so that it can be tiled all around.

Any thoughts on the latter? It seems ok in theory (considering that it’s going to be waterproofed and made continuous with the existing wall by the marmox)...
