We had a bridging issue in the kitchen which lead to a bit of moisture above the mechanical dpc, this has all been knocked back to brick and now, airbricks cleared and airflow issue resolved but now i'm ready to plaster out, due to the presence of any moisture in the wall i was advised to apply a plugged DPM around the perimeter and dot and dab but wondered whether batton's over a regular brick course dpm would suffice? The old DPC is two inches above the suspended floor so likes the idea of the battons holding the boards away from the join.

Another reason for battons was to apply PIR between but would this be a problem against the bare brick?

Place a piece of Visqueen DPM between the wall below the DPC and the batten, allow it to be long enough to reach the batten fixing above the DPM, Do not fix the batten below the DPM.
