Just noticed damp window board below our bay window
On closer inspection the timber stud in the upstand below the window is rotten
The upstand is timber stud clad internally with plasterboard and Newton lath rendered externally

Is it possible to remove the plasterboard cut out the rotten studding and fit new timbers without removing the window or the external render
How would I fix the lath to the new studs
