Wots the best wheels you've had?

Mine was a dog poo brown Nissan Sunny, My own lil rally car, hammered it to death for 3 years. Use to put all those Chavvy scum to shame in the Saxo VTR's.

Loved it even though it was a pile of cr@p.

Cavalier 4x4 turbo - simply because most people didn't know they existed and couldn't believe a chavalier could accelerate like that. Priceless. Only a few left know, even fewer good ones.

Sierra Sapphire Cosworth in Gun Metal Grey, fastest thing I've ever had, was chipped to 450bhp. Some low life scum bag nicked it.

1968 Mk II Ford Lotus Cortina - bored out to 1650,upjetted twin 40 DCOEs.
Surprised a lot of people before I had it resprayed (when it was three different colours,no badges on,but could still pull 6,000rpm in top gear)

Rover SD1 3.5 Vittese with a 4.7 Litre tuned engine!

You don't know what Torque is till you've driven somat like that!

Bright red Scooby-Doo Impreza with a quick-shift gearbox conversion - went like a scalded cat and pulled like Cassanova.

Now I have a diesel van and a small child...:(

On a slightly different tangent, the Best Car I've 'Bin in' was one of the last Escort Cosworths in Mallard Green!

So what?, I hear you say!

Well this one had had a £26,000 engine, suspension and chassis kit fitted!

745 BHP! :O

** me, I've never been so scared in all me life!

One of my mates has a brand new Porsche Cayman - waiting list was that long, when it arrived,he'd forgotten he ordered one....barsteward :(

It has to be my old Austin Metro (5 door flat red). 1986 model 1.3L. Went like a tank until the floor rusted through!!

Best feature was the long wave radio!!

I've just bought a 1990 Mercedes 560SEC, I've wanted one of these for 20 years and finally got round to owning one, it is and will be a money pit but will look stunning by the time I've finished with it.

The only other car I've ever had that was more than just transport was an Overfinch Range Rover I owned for 7 years, that's used to surprise some of the boy racers from the lights:-)

I'm with Mudster on this one. Mine's merely a MB E270 cdi but it purrs and the neighbours twitching curtains is priceless. A status symbol for under 10 grand. Only problem is no roof rack so have to use the van for copper tube and soil pipe. Pricing up jobs is now a joke, van for the housing estates, Merc for the posh folk. Interesting how people perceive you, (great job tightenit - pity about the litre of duckhams your van left on our driveway :o)
Liked my old 4.2 jaguar xj6 in the seventies that could shift, but again copper pipes would whistle out the back window.Anyone remember joiners used to fasten doors and window window frames to the roof in those days?
