Best screws on market

Advice on what people use as there go to branded screw what's the best quality of screws on the market, got screws recently and the quality was light and a number if heads on them broke

I prefer Reisser - R2 & Cutter variants. Their new R3 range are apparently very good too but I have limited experience. There is an excellent range of diameters, lengths, heads and drive. They actually do a good range of pan-head which I find very useful.

Others may recommend Spax.

Probably the most expensive ones. Gold screws are now a lower quality. Think it was mentioned on here before ?

I use forgefix most of the time, torx head

Best I have used are Spax and Reisser. For strength never had problems with the cheapest silver screws Scewfix used to sell but they didn't have any self drilling aspect.

Spax torx head are fab but they are not cheap.

Depends what you’re doing.

If you’re bladdering them into different materials with an impact driver, then some will fail. Pilot holes/countersinking often makes the difference but we’re now spoilt with battery tools.

That's the ones I got in screwfix last time and will be my last pltike very poor quality ended up throwing all in the bin
