Best wood filler

    Who knows but even if he ballses it up five times it would still cost him less than fitted carpets ;)

    You and your fitted carpets. When I wer' lad...we used t' dream 'bout carpets...never mind "fitted carpets".
    I never knew what a rug were till I was 21 !!;)

    I had a resembling issue and I used a quad for bigger gaps and filler for smaller ones. They worked really well for an old house with these wooden floors. I remember using Bondo wood filler and it's still looks great. If you have really big gaps, you can cut some plywood and glue it, then patch over it with wood putty, sand it and paint. It can look like a frame.
