Hi i have removed the top layer of loft insulation and have been presented with what looks to be blown in insulation......this stuff will be a nightmare to remove by hand and can see they have vacuums in america for this kind of job....cant seem to locate fhe same kind of thing here or possibly looking for the wrong thing.....any ideas as i know the one in america is called a versa vac .....thinking of a wood extractor but not sure if this would work

    Make a large cyclone.

Just need a box or barrel. Fix cyclone on. Buy 5m of vacuum hose and a cheap shop vac.
If you bought more hose you could run vacuum down bellow with pipe in loft

Really easy to make and just keep emptying box or barrel. I used an old bread bin for mine but you might want something bigger. Loads of help online and youtube
