Brexit explained simply

I'm still waiting for an answer to " A partial what?" C'mon. Explain yourself.

Semi.

There, I bet you have a full one now?

Don't waste it - yer mates ain't far away.

Even the Remainers would have to agree with many of the points made in that video.
The insults made against those who voted for Brexit will only awaken the full political potential of the Brexit supporters.

I quite like a lot of what he's said before about other issues - once upon a time I'd seek him out for his latest blast - but whether he has one or two 'ok' points to make about Brexit is moot since his tirade is clearly the 'other' way and completely lost amongst his clearly biased rant.

Anyone can find some fault with pretty much any issue; that's an irrelevance.

The poisonous march towards the far-right and your Trumpian ewetopia ain't good, even if a wee kitten is stroked in the midst of it.

Your complete disregard/denial of any risk over the GFA or the borders is the desperation to satisfy yer wee beastie is a case in point.

" A partial semi?" Just what the heck are you waffling on about? I hope you are talking about articulated lorries, or is that supposed to be some kind of sexual slur? I would certainly hope not. Sexual comments like that are frowned upon, nowadays.

And, as we have all seen. Your comments regarding Brexit are totally un-biased, and not the slightest bit delusional... (Yes that's sarcasm.)

Oh gawd - you are soooo unwitty, 'ammer. Painfully so. Please stop trying.

Listen, pal - I am TOTALLY biased towards Remain. I wouldn't expect that cove to listen to me having a similar rant. It's a freeish world.

You, however, are a sitting target. You just can't help yourself :)

PAL! I am NOT your "PAL." I would never be "Pals" with someone like you. Narrow minded bigotry is not a trait that I seek out in people.
I know that you are having a hard time getting your tiny mind around the fact that Brexit is happening. Your descent into "brain melt" is quite funny to watch. The fact that you resort to insults to try to back up your inane ideas about what should or shouldn't happen, just proves that you have lost the plot. Isn't it about time that you were banned again? Throw any more sexual aspersions my way, and I will be making an official complaint.

Just to make it clear, I am not denying that Brexit has been another thing in the mix of divisions in Ireland.
But a “risk over the GFA” ?
There is not a fully functioning GFA.
You really should be using this wording (on your thinking) -

[A risk to peace, risk to free trade and risk to community and nation relationships.]

I see no threat to peace, as I previously said. The Brexit negotiations have not completed anyhow.

Free trade with R.O.I. and the rest of U.K. will stay as close as possible to current trade, - it has to.

As to community and nation relationships, - Brexit has only brought out the true nature of the Irish opposition and anti British bias, both from within NI and from the Irish government. So no surprise there, but it really does need to be addressed for to have any hope of proper relationships in the future.

It is all very very silly for anyone (Sinn Fein or Irish government member, or others) to cite the GFA against Brexit, without considering the U.K. open border which the GFA would also support.

What about the price of Guinness.

That's fine, Heat - you personally don't see any risk to peace. I see this as you hoping it won't be a threat to peace. Lots of people far more politically sophisticated and involved than you do see a risk to peace, as almost anything that'll stir up the old factions and resentments almost inevitably will.

But you don't see this. That's cool, that's fine. Forgive me if I am not reassured much by this, since you have simply dismissed (I bet you haven't even looked at it) the single most comprehensive report on the possible outcomes - you called it 'biased' and walked away.

It's also all too easy for you to dismiss the GFA, but this is all you've got. You ain't going to get anything better, certainly short or medium term. It is a start, a beginning. It has given you and us relative peace. It has allowed poisonously divided politicians to work together - something imagines as utterly impossible. Did YOU imagine the 'Chuckle Brothers'? No, of course not.

But it happened.

If it's any help, I'm not biased - I detested both McG and Paisley in equal measure. But I had to give them both grudging respect for doing what many many folk simply cannot.

"Allsorts, post: Checks time - yup, that explains a lot.
Are you saying that irrefutable evidence, the kind that can be checked and double checked, and yet still remain concrete, somehow looses it's credibility if provided after a certain hour?
That's quite a claim, DA.

Longsie longsie longsie, you know that's not the way it was, ye wee daftie. It was exactly as I pointed out in #101 - incidentally the room to which you belong.
It was exactly as you suppositioned in a previous post. Lol.
Room 101? Isn't that where people were sent who threatened to expose the propogandic lies of an appointed authoritarian regime?
No wonder you think I belong there.

It follows the Trumpian scenario - one rabid u-s says summat completely silly for which he's picked up on by rational folk. A fellow u-s comes along to try and defend the indefensible, but - since it is indefensible - they do this by (what they imagine is subtly...) altering what the rabid said from 'the cause' to 'the main cause' (still very silly). And then the braying sidekicks come to try and back this up as if sheer numbers somehow makes it 'fact', ejaculating numerous 'likes' all over each other in the process.
Ah well, at least you can claim the gold medal for winning the 'desperate attempt at climbing out of a hole', competition.
I think the whingey display of envy at the end must have swung it.

All to try and detract from the daft initial point made by the fellow rabid.
It's all your fault, crows. If you'd never opined that the financial woes that face, Greece are solely down to their defence spending, then, DA would never have falsely attributed this onto others.
What a disgusting rabid individual you are, crows.

Phew - what an effort you put in. It must drain you dry.
Nar, it was quite easy really. I only copied and pasted the relevant bits from a few pages on this forum.
10mins or so, that's about it.

Almost admirable in a way.

Only kidding - it isn't. It's pernicious. And slimy. Literally & meta.[/QUOTE]
Yeah, yeah. That's what they all say when reality hits them squarely in the face.
"Send him to room 101".

Why is it that whatever the subject is the u/s will stick up for the sleazy candidate?

Yes, you are correct that I do hope there is no threat to the peace.
And if we are all treated fairly I am sure there can be no reason for leaving the EU being an excuse for anyone claiming discrimination. Although I am certain that won’t stop the usual suspects from playing the victims - yes, I mean Sinn Fein and Irish government. It helps with division.

Not sure who is more politically sophisticated and involved really in NI to make a proper judgement.
Not the so called intellectuals anyhow.
I have confidence that those really in the know, are correct in saying that Brexit is not a threat to peace.

Did I imagine the GFA?
It will surprise you I knew it would come about. It was something the man on the street would say from 40 years ago. The basic thoughts were, the British government would do a deal with terrorists.
The ‘Chuckle Brothers’ - no, but I was certain Paisley would go into government with Sinn Fein. He always stated he would. Paisley was of a strange religion, imo, which seems to be open to welcoming anyone, despite his perceived image. (McG was even a guest at the Paisley home).
I knew Sinn Fein/IRA would stop the murdering and bombing once it had overrun its time and when the British government would bend over. The loyalist retaliation in the last year or two of the IRA campaign probably also had an influence. The war was changing.
Now the war continues with more deception and division and discrimination designed by Adams

Why on earth do you find Crowsfoot sleazy, he gave an opinion, DA disagreed with it, If anything that makes you and DA the sleazy ones, very sleazy indeed.

ALL that effort for a Filly 'like'.

What'll take for the next one.

Pssst, Longsie, I didn't read your post.

I think you'll find that Crows was just being ignorant. Even you will agree on that.

The sleazy manner is reserved for the chancers. Don't feel bad - you ain't excluded.
