Hi, I'm hoping someone can advise me. I am laying a new travertine floor and underfloor heating. I have taken up the old vinyl floor which has a screed of cement self levelling compound ( it looks like it but was done by the previous owner) and unfortunately some of the screed has broken up where the adhesive tape was. My question is whether I need to patch the compound or will the flexible tile adhesive cover it sufficiently? I am laying tile backer insulation boards onto it before the heating cables and tiles.
If I do need to is it possible to patch the compound in with a priming late? Very grateful for any info!
    Thanks

tile adhesive is absolutely fine, actually any cement based filler will do the work
