Broken Tile

I was removing an old towel hook in my bathroom and as I was removing the old raw plugs, the tile cracked and broke - I am now in the dog house with the wife!

I have never done tiling before so is this an easy fix for one tile? I’m assuming all id need from b&q is the tile, adhesive & grout, spacers and a tile cutter.

Can anyone tell me if it’s an easy job or not? Please help! I’ve attached a photo for reference

Simple enough , assuming you can get the correct replacement tile ( which can sometimes be a challenge as retailers change their range fairly often).
Find the replacement before you do anything else .
Once you have it ,remove the grout all around the tile ( grout removal tool can be purchased relatively cheaply). If the tile has been bonded onto plasterboard ,you need to be more careful than if it is fitted directly onto a plastered wall. Tapping the tile with a hammer ,fairly lightly,to break the tile into pieces should enable something like a wallpaper scraper to be used to lever out bits of the tile until all is removed.
After that it's clean off any adhesive residue ,and stick the new tile in place with the correct type of adhesive ,large tiles and porcelain tiles need a flexible cementitious adhesive.
If it is not a full tile you would also need to cut it obviously.

It is not.
You should scrape out the surrounding grout & break out the tile from the middle.
Otherwise you end up chipping the surrounding tiles.

I use a Dremel with the mini grinding wheel
to take out the grout then as per BuildingMad.
You'd find use again if you purchase one...
and what price peace at home :-)
