Budget thermal camera's?

I recently had a play with a Flir One, the plug into your phone by USB one, I was quite impressed with it and was going to buy one but they are not that much cheaper than a gun type, there are also cheap Chinese camera's, I only need it to check insulation cold spots etc, anyone got an insight into which is the lowest price but still useful?

I got one of these two years back and very much recommend it
(P2 infiray camera). Resolution is miles better than the flir one (which I must say I haven't used, so can't give you a comparison view).
I have it installed on an old Android phone that I only use for this purpose. I set it up with a dedicated Google drive account so can also lend it out locally (as frankly it's something that's hugely useful for about two hours to do your whole house with and then for ten minute intervals every few months!)

Thanks for responding, do they just plug into any phone and go? I'm thinking of an old Iphone or android that is not linked to the internet or contract?

No need for a contract, but you need to install the app so will need the phone set up and connected to WiFi at least though. It's also an easy way to take them images off if you set up a Google photos account on the phone you can just turn log on your PC to view the photos on the big screen.

I have to say I found it so useful.

Cheers for this, I think the main fear was the plug in cameras were a bit of a gimmick, I have seen the Flir One in action and that was more than I needed so I'm more confident shopping, cheers:)
