    Hi
The builder who is building the dwarf wall for my replacement conservatory had put 2 lots of 1.5mm T & E cable inside the cavity wall with 50mm kingspan on top. When I asked him if this was ok he said he was doing it to save time for the sparkie. The cable is for another single socket running from an existing socket. Would 2 lots of 1.5mm be okay & is it ok to run it in the cavity laid on the dpc under the kingspan? The run is about 2 metres.
    Thanks

Cables should not be run in Cavity and 2.5mm is the minimum size to use.

and there are derating issues if it's sandwiched between the DPC and a layer of kingspan.

It's 1.5mm not 2.5mm, but he has put in 2 cables, not sure about the conduit, probably not, is the cable in the cavity a fire risk with the kingspan on top?

I best tell him to cut it & let the sparkie do it on the inside of the internal wall, the plasterer will get over it?
    Thanks everybody for your help
