Hi all, hoping someone can just give me some advice here. Kitchen ceiling was recently plastered and painted. Looked spot on. There was then a leak which caused a hairline crack in the plaster which was filled with painters mate and is all gone and has not returned.

question - why if I am using the same paint does it suddenly stand out when the sun hits? Is this my doing or is this the sun? As you can see exactly where I have painted again. I have tried to go over it again but no improvement. Should the entire ceiling be re painted?

Some paints are more prone to that than others Dulux Diamond is one example. Did you you the same tool (brush / roller / paint pad) to touch up, if the texture is not the same it sticks out like a sore thumb when the light hits it.
Otherwise yes re-coat the lot is the best option.;)
