If the children need help then the funds should come out of our taxes, with this I have no problem, why is it necessary for this fund raising?
JUST LOOK AT WHAT IS BEING SPENT ON THE OLYMPICS
    £9bn £9bn!!!!!

believe it or not MANY MANY MANY people in this country couldn't give a shti about the olympics

£9bn perhaps you could post that figure with all the noughts .

Credit Claims :( perhaps you should direct your expertise to gathering all the help available from the taxpayers of this country.
Are you saying that the help isn't enough ?
    How about £9bn funding ?

I am not against giving the occasional few quid to charities but charity begins at home. I find it quite eye opening at the amounts of dosh some people can chuck in to the pot (and quite jealous I readily admit). In these so called hard times with the world economy going pear shaped it makes you wonder how some people still have money to give away. Wish I was in that position. :(
