The image shows the plug used for topping up water in a combi Boiler. Is that what this item is called or is there another name for it? I cant seem to find it on the host website under that name anyway.

It is called a Filling Key, or water pressure filling key.
But each manufacturer might have different names for it

Doubt they will stock it,its more specific to your boiler. Which boiler is it ?

    is the shaft snapped ?

    The shaft is fine!
I have always inserted a screwdriver into the hole in the end to adjust the flow of water, so when it wouldn't grip enough to turn it, I naturally thought I needed a new one. However as it has a square box shape on the end I will just use a spanner instead, no real hardship..
    Thanks all!

Everything I've touched today seems to be breaking.
What is the item in the image? It's the bung which is inserted before the water flow is adjusted.
The boiler is British Gas branded but I just can't for the life of me remember the make G... something?

The part number on the flikr link above corresponds with the number on my T key, so it must be a Worcester then?
Are these T keys of a standard size?

Looks like Worcester Bosch to me.

It would seem British Gas do fit Worcester Bosch and the part number (8716102872) I have on my filling loop charging key points in the same direction. Anyone know where to get one at a reasonable price?
