We are having a new kitchen, fitting most ourselves but looking for a professional to fit the worktops. Been quoted £720 for 3 strips, 2 corner, Belfast sink, a hob and tap cut out. Not sure if that is going rate for East Midlands?

we aren’t sure though if to change it to solid wood, which we thought about originally but advertised this was much better and less maintenance. But seems not many people fit it.

Also reading about can you only have straight edge cuts and not proper professional joints?
One of our corners only have a 150mm cupboard so a straight cut is going to look a bit silly having a tiny strip of worktop?

Really not sure what to do now so any advice would be great & if any fitters around our area who could leave the details who fit worktops even better as so many cowboys around.
