Guys Have an issue at a family house where concealed shower valve is leaking only when in use. Tried looking between the valves by taking caps off and couldn't see any wetness or drips. So its probably leaking from the piping that leads to the brass body connection. But what I don't understand is why it only leaks when shower head in use. It's not leaking from grout or tiles as I put the shower head in a bucket to ensure not water splashes anywhere. Any thoughts....
Didn't manage to take the front plate off. I cudnt see any water dripping from shower outlet valve I unscrewed the circle housing that fits around the valve. Then turned on the shower valve. Couldn't see anything behind
How to remove this face plate? Is it just stuck on with silicone? The round rings don't turn so I'm guessing its just a silicone at back
I haven't encountered it before but I'd say if you had a paint scraper and see if you can slide it up behind it
Probably just pulls forwards with o rings sealing against the three controls. May well be siliconed as well. Try one of those snap off knives with the blade fully extended to work behind the plate.
It only leaks when shower valve In use. Water coming through from back of tiles on to bathroom floor. Bathroom walls and floor are taped up and tanked so water can't escape downstairs. Need to find out where water is leaking from. Hence trying to open the valve face plate and see behind it if can spot dripping when turning the lever for shower head.
So the concealed shower valve only leaks when then riser rail output is used. When using the rain shower output, no leak. Any ideas where leak would be from on that case. I have attached the actual item diagram and where I think It could be from
I havnt.. Struggling with it as its black and not want to scratch it in process. The 0 rings are very stuff and I think that's what hold it in place initially then beading behind it
