condensate drain

    I Just wanted to know can you install a combination boiler condensate drain using press fit / crimp type stainless steel fittings with EPDM seals instead of the usual plastic drain pipe

    The condensate is acidic and would corrode steel - that’s why plastic is used.

    Being an ex-industrial pipefitter how is it then all industrial condensate pipes I have come across are either stainless steel or carbon steel is it not the same acidic condensate??????????

    used copper 22mm today as had push fit elbows and solvent pipe will change tom but let be fare not reaally a pro is it

    Copper pipe doesn't last too long, but why would you want to go to the expense of stainless steel unless it comes for nothing?
