Condensing boiler drain location

    Hi,
While modifying my kitchen plumbing I noticed that the condensate drain from my boiler is internally connected to the undersink waste pipework after the trap. The washing machine and dishwasher are both connected before the trap to prevent any migration of foul smell but not the boiler. Is this allowable/desirable? It has been like this for months but I have not noticed any smells so far.

    Thanks for any advice
    Cheers

    Sounds correct.
Washing machine is probably connected just above trap via nozzles.
Boiler waste already has a trap in the boiler so shouldn’t go through another one.

Thanks, Mike. Sounds like it is all taken care of internally then. It's a Worcester Greenstar 38CDi, I did a bit of digging around and found a manual online. This excerpt seems relevant,

"The boiler produces condensate which is discharged regularly by a syphon within the boiler via a plastic pipe to a drain. This pipe must not be blocked or altered in any way."

Does the syphon perform the same function as a water trap or u-bend?

    Thanks.
