Hi This is probably very simple, but I just can't think of the obvious way. Bay window guttering with a 22mm bit of pipe that lets water fall from a height to the ground, needs connecting to standard downpipe. What's the best way that isn't going to look liked a bodged job? Thanks for any advice!
Fit one of these, and then a suitable down-pipe. https://www.guttersupplies.co.uk/square-gutter-stopend-outlet-114mm-white-p-ROS2W/
It’s always going to look a bit messy as you have a mix of white, black, squareline and round gutter next to each other But .... if that’s what you have to work with then as Deleted member 11267 says, cut downpipe at suitable level and fit a hopper Extend white pipe so you have a fall and finish with a 90 degree bend into hopper, clip pipe to wall 32/40mm are more common pipe sizes, no idea what that 22mm pipe is or if it’s a proper fitting that gutter stop end or something that’s been bodged up perhaps Overflow pipe is 21.5mm - maybe that ? Can get adaptors for most size pipe so hopefully you can join what you have to 32/40 mm waste pipe - good luck
Well that would seem to be the obvious answer wouldn’t it but where would the new downpipe drain to ? Guess the OP wants to tap into the existing downpipe as that leads into a drain gulley
Great, thanks for the responses! All good ideas - appreciate all your replies. Think I may side with the gadget man idea as Y junction may appear a bit neater than a hopper as it's right at the front and centre of house. I'll look into ordering the fittings for it and let you know how I get on.
